Our Story

Beginning over nine years ago, we first met in high school and later reconnected at the Perch Brewery. We were able to connect very effortlessly through the mutual friends we shared. From loving the same music, to our hobbies, like Skateboarding, Hiking, and Traveling, we knew we had something special together. We both shared the exact same favorite place in the world, The Beach! We started traveling together to so many unforgettable places, one including Sophia’s childhood favorite Carlsbad, CA. Nothing better than amazing pizza and beer while hearing the ocean waves. Now that’s a simple and perfect vacation for us!

Cozumel was next on our radar to visit after going to Rocky Point a few times we couldn’t get enough of Mexico! The best tacos, delicious Micheladas, incredible beaches, the friendliest people, unbelievable scuba/snorkeling, its easy say Cozumel Island was as unforgettable as it gets. One of the most special moments was getting to see baby sea turtles hatch from their nests and make it to the ocean! The island provided so many memories, and little did we know we would decide to get married here years later!

In July of 2025 we traveled to Vietnam and it definitely became our most favorite vacation we have ever taken together! A couple days into the trip the Proposal happened in a sudden unexpected and unique way! With the help of a friend and a long day at the Water park we both were exhausted, but Luis had a secret plan to propose that night! What a fun a memorable day for both of us, capped off with a late bus ride to our next city in Vietnam. We spent the rest of the trip celebrating our engagement, really having the time of our lives especially at the beautiful Beach resort we stayed at.

Now, just shy of our 10 year anniversary we will be tying the knot! We’ve been lucky enough to experience many amazing places with each other and discovered that our favorite place to be is wherever we are together.
